It was trouble enough that he sprouted, after lying dormant for eons, but then Daniel discovered he was growing into a human body instead of a plant because of the human DNA used in his cloning. As protection, he has the ability to change into any of Earth’s life forms, including birds, and to manufacture plant oils that can kill or heal. To make a living, he learns how to play poker and works at a casino where he meets Aine, the beautiful, cloned, alien assassin sent by the home planet, and programmed to kill him.
Aine is able to inject her prey with lethal wasp venom or kill them with electricity. However, her human DNA interferes and they fall in love and form a team to get rid of Angelo Cardone, a local neighborhood crime boss, who is involved in the drug trade and human trafficking. Aine’s habit of leaving a trail of bodies behind brings two very confused detectives in pursuit who think they are chasing either an alien or a hundred pound wasp, or maybe a werewolf, one of Daniel’s favorite morphs.
Murder and mayhem ensue, but they defeat the neighborhood criminals with the help of some unusual but lovable friends; so pleasing their home planet ruler, that they are allowed to become human and remain here, while retaining their powers to do good.
Accidental Alien examines our world and our beliefs with humor and amazement, sometimes shaking you out of your comfort zone.

Accidental Alien - edition by Joyce Zeller. Literature & Fiction eBooks @ . Reviews
I liked the concept of this book. I found it very interesting and a fun read. Not my usual genre of reading but I enjoyed and it was a quick pace and fast read. Just right for a one day read (or several hours)
Joyce Zeller wrote a most thought provoking book about an alien species living on Earth as a plant with amazing powers. The human condition is presented and analyzed with insightfulness...describing both the negatives and postives contained in the species native to Earth. The obvious twisting by humans of what their "God" wants from humans, depending on which "club" or religion they belong is right on point. Daniel and Aine are compelling characters and begs a sequel. What a great movie this would be!
This turned out to be a very fascinating book! It looks at aliens and humans in a completely different light, but still acknowledged a Supreme Being in charge of it all.I highly recommend this book,I hope the author has more books out.
Enjoyed the fresh never before thought of take on religion. Well written. If you believe in god don't get this book. You'll just hurt yourself when you drop to your knees to pray. Ancient alien plant life smarter than humans.
One thing I forgot. The books is missing a lot of pages but still a good read.
Accidental Alien has a good moral story. Daniel and Aine do good because it is the right thing and God's right hand man Michael likes what they do. Good clean story without the usual bedroom scenes. We are told that Guerrians are coming but they do not make much of entrance to the plot what the 5 moss leaders think nor their opinion is at the end.
This is a fun story, but gets a bit preachy about war, and killings. The first half of the book is good, but begins to drag after that. The story seems to suggest that people who do bad things, can not be changed, but must be killed for the good of the majority. The story also states that bad people are bad, because we let them be bad, by being to passive. If you want to question your thoughts on war, and killing bad people, a good read. But this book may not be for all.
I gave this 3 stars because it would make a good YA read. Otherwise, I'd have given it 2 stars. I'm all for a good, clean story, and scifi is one of my favorite genres, but this story is very simplistic and the writing and dialogue is often immature. I really don't want to discourage the author, because I know criticism of a book can feel like someone just said your baby is ugly, but, to be honest, I just found it boring and lost interest.
Good fictional book about an alien on earth and how it would be for them and us to interact with one another
